Set up an authenticator app

Two-factor authentication is available in the “Security” section of your Atlas account. You may be asked to verify your identity before setting it up.

1. Sign in to the portal and open “Security”.
2. Under “Two-factor authentication”, follow the setup steps.
3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
4. Enter the six-digit code shown in the app to confirm.
5. Store the ten recovery codes somewhere safe before leaving the page.

Prepare for losing your phone

Each recovery code can only be used once. Codes are shown when created and cannot be viewed again.

When signing in, you can use a recovery code instead of the code from your app. Generating a new set invalidates the old codes. Never share the QR code or these codes with anyone.
